The discussion frequently centers on consumption.
The systems supported by food receive less attention.
While reviewing developments across agriculture, labor systems, healthcare, economic activity, and population growth, I found myself paying less attention to food itself and more attention to the infrastructure operating through it.
The food remained visible.
The civilization infrastructure became visible.
The observation was not about consumption alone.
The observation was about continuity.
