Many observers focus on individual incidents, accidents, crises, or disruptions.
The discussion frequently centers on the event itself.
The infrastructure creating system exposure receives less attention.
While reviewing developments across infrastructure, finance, energy, healthcare, logistics, governance, and digital systems, I found myself paying less attention to isolated events and more attention to the structural conditions allowing risk to propagate across interconnected systems.
The event remained visible.
The infrastructure exposure became visible.

Most people see uncertainty.

The relationship is structural.

The dependency extends across multiple sectors simultaneously.

Viewed independently, these sectors appear separate.
Viewed together, they form an interconnected exposure network.
