The discussion frequently centers on how long something has existed.
The systems allowing continuity across generations receive less attention.
While reviewing developments across infrastructure, governance, education, healthcare, finance, manufacturing, logistics, and scientific institutions, I found myself paying less attention to organizational age and more attention to the structural continuity allowing knowledge, capability, and experience to persist over time.
