Many observers focus on individual components, independent capabilities, or isolated performance.
The discussion frequently centers on the effectiveness of separate systems.
The structures connecting those systems into a unified architecture receive less attention.
While reviewing developments across infrastructure, governance, healthcare, finance, logistics, manufacturing, scientific research, and digital systems, I found myself paying less attention to individual capabilities and more attention to the integration allowing multiple systems to operate as a connected whole.
The individual system remained visible.
The integrated infrastructure became visible.
