Interfaces remain one of the most important yet least visible capabilities supporting modern civilization.
Infrastructure depends on interfaces.

Civilization depends on systems capable of enabling effective interaction between people, processes, and technology.
Many observers focus on screens, buttons, menus, or visual layouts.
The discussion frequently centers on appearance or interface design.
The structural capability allowing people and systems to communicate effectively across complex environments receives less attention.
While reviewing developments across infrastructure, governance, healthcare, finance, logistics, manufacturing, scientific research, education, and digital systems, I found myself paying less attention to interface appearance and more attention to the interaction enabling people and systems to work together reliably.
