System Context

Human knowledge is divided into disciplines, professions, departments, industries, and specialized areas of study.

Each field develops its own language, measurements, priorities, tools, and methods of explanation.

Economics may describe growth. Corporate analysis may describe performance. Agriculture may describe yield. Finance may describe value. Markets may describe price. Logistics may describe flow. Technology may describe capability.

These terms appear different because they reflect different professional perspectives.

However, the underlying systems are often connected through shared resources, people, capital, goods, services, infrastructure, information, and observable outcomes.

A change in one area may therefore influence several other areas, even when each discipline describes the change using different terminology.
