You cannot trust what you cannot trace.
Traceability is more than storing individual records.
It preserves the connections between sources, data, processes, records, and outcomes so that a path can be followed backward or forward when review is required.
What Is Traceability?
Traceability is the ability to follow the path of data, decisions, actions, and outcomes across time and systems.
Each recorded step creates a link between what happened before and what happened afterward.
When those links remain connected, the complete path becomes more observable, reviewable, and verifiable.
