Remediation remains one of the most important yet least visible capabilities supporting modern civilization.
Infrastructure depends on remediation.

Civilization depends on systems capable of correcting identified problems so that affected conditions can be restored and continuity can be supported.
Many observers focus on corrections, repairs, fixes, interventions, or recovery activities.
The discussion frequently centers on the corrective action being performed.
The structural capability allowing identified problems to move from diagnosis and understanding toward restored conditions receives less attention.
While reviewing developments across infrastructure, governance, healthcare, finance, logistics, manufacturing, scientific research, public administration, engineering, transportation, communication networks, and digital systems, I found myself paying less attention to individual corrections and more attention to the remediation systems enabling identified problems to be corrected and affected conditions to be restored.
