Risk Management
A strong thesis does not eliminate risk.
Conviction can support a position, but position size determines how much uncertainty a portfolio can survive.
Leverage can increase efficiency when conditions are favorable, yet it also reduces the distance between an unexpected market move and a liquidity problem.
The important question is therefore not only whether an analysis is correct.
It is whether the portfolio can remain intact long enough for that analysis to matter.
Good risk management is not designed to prevent every loss.
It is designed to prevent a loss from becoming irreversible.
Survival is part of the strategy.
